Thanks Rika! It's a shame he won't be coloring it. :blue:

Yeah, that's a pity - hope someone else would do that.

Yeah I hope someone colors it. It is too well done not to be colored.

I actually think the video have better animation movement than Crystal form Season 1 and 2. I very much enjoyed the fan made video.

TBF, I think Crystal needed the higher budget to get modern style to have more fluid movement to make it better product. Actually should have offered 5 movies as a movie series trilogy than a tv series. I hated Crystal inconsistency and lack of professionalism.

More than a high budget, I think that Crystal needed people that loved doing their work, i mean, the making of this video hadn't any money involved, just a person who loves SM, and this video ended WAY better and beautiful than the original. :oh:  :megaoh:

BTW, I'd wish this video would be colourized. It would be easy, there are just 2908 frames on the video... P-: P-: :P :P

Maybe someone would eventually develop an auto-coloring software for animation frames, like the one for comics. lol

I actually agree with you SM458. A higher budget should have implemented from the start.

Its so pretty I am just in awe of it. I only wish I could see it in full colored glory honestly though this just makes me feel empty inside because its only fan made.

I can watch it w/o problem  - you might use proxy to access it, then.

I came here to post the recolored version, and now I'm mad I didn't see it when it was posted earlier! It's incredible. Colored version seems to have some flaws but it's so beautiful, and I like how the coloring is improved even over the OG anime!

With skills and dedication like that the guy should invest his time into doing some projects of his own instead of remaking Crystal.

Late to the party, but    that colored version is beautiful. If only Crystal had been made with that amount of skill and love from the beginning. We could have had it all!

The colored version is gorgeous this is what Crystal should have looked like.

Exactly the same as the original anime we saw already twenty years ago, that is. Why stop half-way, then? If they recycle the same manga story again, recycle the same art style again, then they as well could recycle in Crystal the same filler episodes for character development and fun. I mean, wouldn't it be a cool idea to make an episode where the girls go to an island vacation and Chibiusa finds a live dinosaur? :o

I'd like to have a whole spin-off series titled something like "Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon: The Adventures in Jurassic Park." :D

The excellent fanartist ASH ( https://vk.com/animepv - I think the page is in cyrllic, so I sadly can't read any of it) did some one-off redraw pictures, too!

I'd link them more directly, but due to the language barrier I have a hard time navigating the site to find something specific, rather than just pouring through old posts one by one in a big binge to find interesting things. So here's some slightly downsized attachments of them instead (the originals are larger and the screencap comparisons are the same size as the picture, and there are even larger-resolution versions without the screencaps, too).

I've only seen these three, but there might be more?

I think this one's from season 3.

ASH is an amazing artist and those re-draws are top-notch. Thanks for posting them, Mitsukara!
